Tell us a little bit about who Natalie is. How long have you been in business? What are you passionate about?

I’ve always been extremely entrepreneurial and creative, so I always knew I’d run my own company. It took me a while to figure out what route to take, so I spent a lot of time consulting with start-ups on marketing, branding and strategy which put me in great stead for when I had my own lightbulb moment.

I created Oh My Glow  in 2015 (after 12 months in development!) when I realized that there was a clear gap in the market for a product that tastes good and does good. We started to become really successful and it made me realise that I was so interested in the strategy behind online. business growth. That’s when I decided to also start getting involved in helping others to develop their own online businesses.

 When did you start getting involved with Boss Babe? Tell us how you came across us.

I came across Boss Babe when I started to see smart, sassy, sexy quotes on social media. It completely caught my eye and I loved how the brand was positioned. Fast forward a few months and I began to see the ‘Millennial Rich Girl’ program advertised.

This appealed to me because it was all about automation, social media and personal branding. I’m really into personal development and I knew this course would be a great investment for me.

Then, after completing the course, Alex got in touch with me and asked if I’d be interested in becoming a Brand Ambassador for Boss Babe. This meant doing weekly Periscope videos and embodying the Boss Babe brand wherever I could.

What did you like about Boss Babe?

I think Boss Babe completely embodies the mind of a smart, driven and determined millennial who is ready to create her own future. The thing I really liked was how authentic and real the posts were, I mean sure we think these things in our heads, but to see them written? It was so funny and so real. I also really liked how consistent the branding was and how much value it gave.

How has Boss Babe helped you?

I felt completely aligned with the Boss Babe values and it inspired me so much to take risks, put my authentic self out there and follow the path I was passionate about. Boss Babe has really helped me to build huge self belief and confidence in myself, and also showed me effective ways to relay this to other women.

It has been such a great way to network – being involved in the Boss Babe Academy Facebook group is so inspirational and it’s amazing to know that there’s a group of talented, supportive and encouraging business women who all have each others backs.

After all, we all need a little boost from time to time! The Lux Courses and Audios on the platform have also taught me so much about business as well as helping me on a personal level (i.e. having more time!).

What do you think other women are expecting from brands and companies like Boss Babe?

I think women expect to be able to trust brands like Boss Babe. If we work alongside an expert or a business and put them in front of our audience, I think our audience should know that we have completely assessed them and wouldn’t share anything invaluable or inauthentic.

I think it’s also expected that we not only stay completely consistent, but that we are continually working on growth strategies. After all, we are encouraging women to grow, develop and expand, so we should be on this same wavelength to be able to deliver consistently higher value as it’s needed. Finally I think it’s expected that we stay true to our message.

We should be constantly innovating to find new opportunities and also using our success story as proof that the wifi-freedom goal truly exists. After all, we want every woman to have the freedom she desires, so we should always also make sure we’re following this path and being a real, aspirational example.

What are some of your biggest goals to accomplish with Boss Babe now that you are CEO?

  • Expand Boss Babe both online and offline to allow us to have a stronger influence in our network and reach/inspire more Boss Babes;
  • Take the Boss Babe Instagram account to 1 Million active and engaged followers to allow us to inspire a large audience globally;
  • Increase the value even more within the Boss Babe Academy by introducing monthly Behind The Scenes features on top of more Lux Classes, Audio Banks, Premium Articles as well as a 45 minute Q&A session with me (every month!);
  • Grow our partner networks to allow us to expand as a company and also to collaborate with brands who share our values and can offer value to our followers;
  • Give our Boss Babe Academy members more exposure through our networks to allow them to grow their own networks more effectively.

What are three things real pieces of advice you’d give an entrepreneur who is just starting her journey?

  1. Stop putting off whatever you’re putting off. Taking the big entrepreneurial leap can be daunting, terrifying and overwhelming but this doesn’t mean it won’t also be completely worth it, fun and exciting. Jump straight into it and give it everything you have – doing something half assed isn’t really worth doing in the first place.
  2. Invest in yourself. I’m going to guess that you don’t know everything and that there is still so much room for you to improve on both a personal and a business level. We live in an age where there is so much readily available information to us. Take advantage of this and learn as much as you can – this will really help you in your journey of success.
  3. Spend time understanding your ‘why’. Why are you doing this? What are you hoping to achieve? What will this bring you? You’re going to have an up and down journey and there will be plenty road blocks along the way. Keep your ‘why’ in the forefront of your mind (and also the forefront of your notebook!) to be able to remind yourself of why you’re doing this and where you want to be headed.
